Entre el 29 y el 30 de enero, los más de 90 estudiantes que participaron de la Inmersión 2022 regresaron a Colombia llenos de aprendizajes, experiencias y logros alcanzados.
Durante cinco meses fortalecieron sus conocimientos en inglés, desarrollaron habilidades ligadas a la independencia y exploraron un país realmente mágico.
Estas son las palabras de algunos de los estudiantes que vivieron la Inmersión 2022:
Matías Restrepo Carrasquilla
“Since the first day in Canada, an entire chapter of my life was opened, bringing awesome people who made my days happier than ever, who taught me surprising things I never thought before, who brought me to extraordinary places which blew my mind at the first glance, who made me feel at home and who convinced me of the decision to have a future here.
This exchange overreached all my expectations and made me grow as a person, who right now, is capable of everything despite the obstacles that will be crossed. I am totally grateful to the school program and my family who made all the effort to give me this incredible opportunity. To be honest, this is the best thing I have ever experienced so far and I do not regret anything.”

“157 days, are the ones that we spent time in Canada, everything has not been “color de rosa” but it is the best experience of my entire life after all. Being able to meet new people, get closer to those you already knew, etc, is literally magical. This experience has not only teach me how to improve my English, this experience has teach me how to be able to make my own decisions, be mature, manage money, and many other things that I wouldn’t have been able to do in Colombia. I will not tell you that it is not hard to not be with your family at Christmas, your birthday, or some other celebration, but honestly missing them is worth it. Every peso that my parents put into this experience is well worth it! And I will be grateful to them all my life. Also this experience reminds you of two main things:
- Where you come from, and that you can be proud of that.
- That sometimes it is necessary to get out of your routine / comfort zone to know yourself.
My parents ask me if I would do it again, the answer is a thousand times yes! If you have the opportunity to do it, take advantage of it, because it will be the best expensive of your lives! Of course, you have to learn to enjoy it responsibly… But everything is worth it!”

“Como estudiante de intercambio quiero decir que esta experiencia es una de la que no se vuelve a vivir; aparte del enriquecimiento en inglés, también nos ayuda en la maduración económica y mental. Me mostró diferentes culturas, cómo pueden variar entre países y me pareció muy interesante hacer amigos de otros países en otro idioma parte del español.
El inglés que se muestra es diferente en la parte cotidiana, además muchas de las palabras están abreviadas y algunas veces era confuso entenderlas, pero luego me fui adaptando y me pareció muy dinámico.
Agradezco intensamente a mis padre por poderme brindar esta experiencia, por haber confiado en mi capacidad de distribuir el dinero, pero además por hacer una inversión de ese tamaño en mí.
Si me dijeran que esta experiencia la podría repetir no lo dudaría”
